Ducati's first sports bikes - the superbikes of that time - date back to the early 1970s. These engines were made to win, and so they did. They are now highly sought-after collector's items and, both then and now, they are seen as a fine example in terms of style and performance and above all they are magnificent motorcycles to look at and to drive.
The Sport 1000 is borrowed from these early superbikes, although this mainly concerns the looks as it is a completely different and of course more modern machine. This model features a two-valve 1000DS engine, trellis tubular frame, 3-way adjustable single Sachs rear shock, 43mm Marzocchi front fork and wire wheels with Pirelli Phantom tires.
Since relatively few samples have been produced, this model with only 11481 km on the clock is a rarity. This Sport 1000 is equipped with some extras, such as a two-in-one exhaust, raised clip-ons and smaller side mirrors.
This RS125 is in good condition and has recently been serviced with new tires. The original exhaust is also available.
